I recently did two illustrations for an article titled "Life on the Run" which appear in the current issue of the Princeton Alumni Weekly. The article is about Alice Goffman and her upcoming book On the Run: Fugitive Life in an American City (University of Chicago Press).

Alice Goffman spent time living with the people she wrote about and got to know them on a personal level. In a way I could relate to that, especially with the reportage drawings that I do. I believe that kind of reporting adds a human element to the work, something you may not get any other way.
