Glenfiddich International Artist Residency

Welcome to my new blog!

As some of you may already know the big news is that I've been accepted into the Glenfiddich Artists in Residence program for the 2012 season.  Each year Glenfiddich invites 7-8 artists, from around the world, to spend the Summer at the whiskey distillery in Scotland where they'll produce original artwork. The art is inspired by Glenfiddich's history, heritage, people and craftsmanship.

Here's more information:

During my time in the program I plan on documenting the making of whisky, along with with the surrounding area, though a series of on-the-spot drawings.

It's a great honor and exciting opportunity. This is my first time going to Scotland and I can't wait! As I go along I'll blog about my various experieneces, in the program and beyond.

Cheers!

I want to hear more about the trip, I apprecite that in the midst of all your drawings, is what appears to be a photo of a screwdriver.

Do you mean the mixed whisky drink at the exhibition? Those were great!
